React Job: Software Developer

Position: Ruby on Rails Web Developer

Muddy Boots Inc is a small software company started over 10 years ago with the idea to develop a consolidated set of functions for operations software. We started off with a focus in the Oil and Gas sector but have seen our software grow into multiple different industries.

Your new role

Being part of our team means more than just being a developer, your ideas and input are not only welcomed but wanted (encouraged). We are a small company, and you must be willing to change focus and wear many hats when needed (E.g. a developer wrote this job posting!). Whether that means switching development tasks to fix bugs or start work on a high priority request, give production support, or meeting new/existing customers and yes, even getting your boots muddy out in the field.

What you will need to succeed

· Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent experience

· 1+ years of both front and back end web development experience

· Experience with web development: HTML, CSS, and JavaScript

· Knowledge of SQL databases

· Ability to follow instructions, work independently and in a team environment

· Knowledgeable with Git and Github

Nice to haves

· Experience in any JavaScript framework (Vue.js, React)

· Familiar with GraphQL, DevOps, Elasticsearch

· Knowledgeable in Ruby on Rails (or similar MVC framework)

· Testing and test framework experience (RSpec, Cypress)

· Oil and Gas field experience
