The opportunity

We are looking for a talented, analytical, and team-oriented Fullstack Developer who has the desire to make develop and enhance our web-based applications. Your primary focus is to learn and develop a data visualization module for our current system. You will be working closely with the other developers, the Product Manager, and other stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements. Communication and analytical skills are vital to your success in this role. Therefore, a commitment to collaborative problem-solving, elegant and extensible design and quality products is imperative.

We expect the Fullstack Developer to

• Have industry hands-on experience in a modern web framework such as Ruby on Rails
• Have a good understanding of OOP. Previous Ruby experience is highly desirable but not required
• Understand the complexity of developing backend APIs
• Build rich client-side applications using ReactJS
• Handle client-server interactions using GraphQL is highly desirable but not required

It would be NICE if you have experience with (or are eager to learn) the following:

• Knowledge of data manipulation and data visualization in Excel/spreadsheets
• DevOps
• Heroku and/or AWS experience
• Data Visualization
• Modern CSS skills

Your skills and experience

• Minimum 3 years of software development experience
• Experience with several programming languages/frameworks such as Ruby, Ruby on Rails, Javascript, ReactJS and GraphQL
• Past experience in applying technical knowledge and expertise to help the team overcome challenging or complex software problems
• Experience in working with remote team members
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
