- Consistently deliver code that sets the standard for quality and maintainability by following coding best practices and using patterns wherever possible
- Demonstrates a holistic and strategic mindset when developing and designing new modules and resources with a focus on the big technical picture
- Write and review PRs with a focus on ensuring best practices and improving our products.
- Communicate and work closely with management to schedule and drive the delivery of features, estimate task timeframes, and follow agile iteration processes

- Stay current with new technologies and engineering concepts
- Follow Medidata’s Standard Operating Procedures to ensure all software meets regulatory and company requirements
- Implementation and development with Javascript, CSS and HTML
- Single Page Application libraries or frameworks such as ReactJS or AngularJS
- SaaS/SOA application design with modern web frameworks
- Understanding of the DOM
- Developing enterprise-class web API integration patterns and protocols, REST, GraphQL
- Amazon Web Services including containerized/serverless applications
- Ruby on Rails or another object-oriented language
- Understanding of source control management (Git/GitHub)
- PostgresSQL, MySQL, or similar relational database management system (RDBMS)
- CI/CD and automated testing harnesses and infrastructure
- Debugging tools and techniques, especially in a SOA context
- Developing services supporting mobile applications
- Agile software development, revision control, collaboration, and build tools such as JIRA, Travis, Git
- UNIX-based: tools, OS, Stack
